About
64 squares chess academy was started in the year 1997 and has branches at T.Nagar, R.A. Puram , Mandaveli . It has produced some of the top players including Grand masters and International masters. some of the old students are GM Adhiban Baskaran who is also former world under 16 champion , GM M. Shyam Sundar ,M. Mahalakshmi World under 18 girls chess champion and WGM norm holder , International Women Master and WGM norm holder R. Rakshitta Ravi besides other fide rated players.
Academy led by FIDE instructor and Head coach S.C. Subramanian
S.C. Subramanian is one of the top coach who has trained many National,International and Grandmasters in his career. Having more than 20+ years of experience in the industry,he focuses on improving children in the field of chess. Dedicated team works with him for the improvement of child strength,mental ability,and making them the willingness to learn chess.
